ACS Formative Assessment

Online
Jun 19, 2014 - Jun 19, 2015

Put your knowledge to the test and see how you stack up relative to your fellow clinicians! Challenge yourself with this self-paced interactive assessment designed to sharpen your knowledge and competency in risk stratification and triaging of patients for either conservative or invasive strategies, selecting appropriate antiplatelet therapy, and managing the variability of response to antiplatelet therapy.

This ACS Formative Assessment includes three modules: Armamentarium of Antiplatelet Therapies, Management Strategies, and Disease Overview. Each module can be completed independently of the others, and credit awarded upon completion of EACH module. Steps for completion include:

  1. Pre-Assessment: complete a short series of questions, and see your performance (as a %) as well as how your peers performed on the same topic.

  2. Based on any areas noted for improvement, participate in external supplemental education.

     3.  Post-Assessment: reassess your performance, and achieve 70% or greater to receive credit.

     4.  Evaluation

Each module will take approximately 20-25 minutes to complete, and a certificate will be immediately available upon completion.

This activity is provided by Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning and supported by an educational grant from Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. and Lilly USA, LLC.

Upon completion of this activity participants will be able to:

  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions to facilitate initial and long-term treatment of ACS patients

  • Evaluate strategies for balancing the clinical benefits and risks of available and emerging antiplatelet therapies to improve ACS management and outcomes

  • Discuss how variability of response to antiplatelet therapy can impact ACS management

  • Implement new clinical findings and recommendations in ACS management to individualize therapy and improve patient adherence to treatment

This educational activity is designed for cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, emergency room physicians, hospitalists, and internists who manage patients with ACS.
