This workshop series focuses on selecting optimal treatment strategies for patients with MS. It includes evidence- and case-based discussions on the evolving treatment landscape, selection of initial therapy, assessment of treatment response, and modification of therapy.
Upon completion, participants should be able to:
Explain why early and ongoing treatment is important for patients with MS
Review clinical evidence describing the safety, efficacy, and optimal use of available DMTs in individualized MS treatment regimens
Describe methods for monitoring disease status and the limitations of those methods
Develop strategies for identifying and managing suboptimal response to DMT
Integrate effective communication strategies in routine practice to educate patients with MS about their disease and its treatment and engage them as active members of their healthcare team
This workshop series for neurologists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants focuses on optimal treatment strategies for patients with MS through evidence- and case-based discussions on the selection of initial therapy, assessment of treatment response, and modification of therapy.
