Taking Action Against Chronic Hepatitis B Infection

In this CME Outfitters Live and On Demand panel discussion, national experts will provide strategic education to primary care providers who manage patients with HBV on screening for HBV, interpreting serology results, and counseling patients throughout the treatment process with the goal of optimizing long-term patient outcomes.


At the end of this CE activity, participants should be able to:

  • Increase the rate at which health care providers screen at-risk patients for HBV infection by 20%.
  • Educate and counsel HBsAg-positive patients about the significance of their serologic findings and discuss next treatment steps for HBV infection.
  • Devise a plan or refer patients for ongoing monitoring, follow-up, and determination of treatment candidacy for HBV infection.

The following learning objectives pertain only to those requesting CNE credit:

  • Identify the rate at which health care providers screen at-risk patients for HBV infection.
  • Define the significance of serologic findings and next treatments steps for HBV infection.
  • Explain the plan for ongoing monitoring, follow-up, and determination of treatment candidacy for HBV infection.
